In this project, we investigate the sea areas of Keelung City, Taipei County , Penghu County and Tayoen County. The variatioins of water quality monitoring show that the water quality in Keelung City meet the second class set by EPA in Taiwan. In Taipei County and Tayoen County, the concentration of heavy metal and S.S are high and are beyond the second class. Besides, in Tayoen County and Penghu County the concentration of phosphorus are beyond the first class. The surveys of primary production and nutrients show that the better water quality in Penghu County which can conclude in Penghu County is not easily influenced by marginal sea discharge.
